6200' Base cam is missing

The High Camp is normally covered entirely with snow at this time of year. Elevation is 8200'.

The 6200' Base cam has been off-line recently.

The Squaw Valley Village is at the same elevation (6200').

Heavenly Valley East Peak (Nevada) Heavenly Valley Tram (California)

Heavenly Valley Dipper (Nevada)
East Peak looks normal, but all of the snow you see there is man-made. Above, is the Tram Cam (elevation about 8000') which looks down on the Gunbarrel run. Again, all of the snow there is being made by the snow guns you see running. To the left, Dipper Cam is at the top of the East Peak lift. Some of the snow here is natural; most is not.

Alpine Meadows
Hard to see because of the sun, but there appears to be a little bit of natural snow here at Alpine. I think the elevation here is around 8000'.

Bear Valley Animation (10 secs./frame)
Here's a great example of "selective snow coverage". The foreground is awash with snow, yet a few hundred feet away is dirt and rocks. A couple of days ago there was absolutely no snow at all.

"Summit" implies the highest point, doesn't it?

This is sad...

Northstar Mid Mountain
Looks are deceiving, but I think that ALL of the snow you see here is man-made. This is at about 6500' I think.
